Rev Biak Lawm Thang
Dear Bethelites,
Greetings in the most blessed name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We trust this mail finds you all well in the Lord. By God’s grace and through your prayer, we are all doing well. Below is a short report on the ministry of First BPC for the month of January 2023.
By the grace of God, the ministries of First BPC can continue as usual. Please note the following as you continue to pray for First BPC.
Youth Seminar, March 2023
We are prayerfully planning to conduct a 3-day Youth Seminar, 14-16 March, 2023. The theme is, “Grow up into him in all things” (Eph 4:15). Rev Lal, Rev Biak, and the three Preachers are scheduled to take turns to address the theme. The seminar will be held from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, at the church premise. Please pray for: good attendance (in addition to our young people, we have also invited young people from other churches nearby), the Lord’s guidance and blessing, provision for our every need.
Children DBVS, April 2023
God willing, our children Sunday school teachers’ team will conduct a 3-day DVBS for all the children in our church. The program is scheduled to take place in the month of April (the exact dates remain to be confirmed). Please pray for God’s guidance, protection and blessing.
One-Week Bible Study at Ngalti BPC, April 2023
God willing, Ngalti BPC is planning to have a one-week Bible Study, 23-30 April, 2023. To conduct this Bible study, Rev Biak, Pr Tai Sut Thang, and Sis Deborah Sui EnMawi from First BPC will go up to Ngalti. If everything goes well as planned, Rev Biak will teach 1 Corinthians to the adult group, Pr Sut will teach “Salvation and the Evidence of Being Saved” to the young people’s group, and sis Sui will teach “Salvation and Obedience” to the children.
At the present situation, travelling still remains a challenge, not really safe. Please pray for the Lord’s guidance, protection, and blessing of this planned event of Ngalti BPC.
Possible Ordination of Pr Jeffrey Mang
Pr Jeffrey TialHreMang is presently serving the Lord at Ngalti BPC. After going through a special preliminary training under First BPC for about two years, he has been involved in the ministry at either First or Ngalti BPC for more than three years. Recently, Ngalti BPC sent a letter to us, making a request for the possibility of Pr Mang’s ordination so that he can pastor Ngalti BPC. Let us continue to uphold this important matter in prayer, even as we make further planning in consultation with Bethel BPC.
Bible College
Do continue to pray for the Bible College. The students will sit for their final examinations on 6-11 March, 2023. Please pray for the students especially as they prepare for their assignments and final soon coming examination. Please pray also for the faculty.
We are ever thankful to you, brethren, for your constant love, guidance, prayer and support, and you are always an encouragement to us in the ministry. We do pray for you.
In Christ,
Rev Biak
