Ps Paul Cheng
Dear Brethren,
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore." (Psalm 133:1-3)
A warm welcome to all campers of Bethel Bible-Presbyterian Church 2023!
More than three years of uncertainty, lockdown, fear, isolation and prohibition of gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic have come to an end, or at least it is easing off for now. Indeed, all praise be unto the Lord, who has enabled us to come together physically for a family camp.
Family camp is an annual event in our church calendar. We look forward to it year after year because it provides a time of feasting on God’s Word and a time of sweet fellowship with one another, without any distraction from the worldly cares.
This year, we are privileged to have Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo as our camp speaker, and the camp theme is, “Living for Jesus in the End Times”! As we consider the events happening around us - the recent pandemic, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the political and economic upheavals in many countries, the spiritual and moral declension, the apostasies and lack of tolerance to gospel preaching - we recognise and acknowledge that we are living in the end times. The question is, 'How do we face the challenges in this increasingly hostile environment, make godly decisions and live a God-honouring life?' I hope you will be excited to learn from the spiritual lessons as our dear servant faithfully expounds the Word of God.
We are also thankful for Sis Maylynn and Bro Kenneth who have willingly availed themselves to teach our children lessons based on the camp theme.
It is my earnest prayer that God will use this camp to change lives, convert souls and cause others to be strengthened spiritually and continue to grow in the Lord. A special word of thanks should be given to the camp master, Dn Adrian and his team who have worked diligently and meticulously to make this camp a joyful and meaningful experience for everyone.
I covet your prayers for the Lord’s blessing upon the preachers and every participant, for the glory of Christ, our Saviour!
May the Lord’s name be praised! Have a blessed Easter Family Camp!
With love in Christ, Pastor Paul Cheng
