is God real to you?

we do not put anything beside him. he alone… he must be the absolute of our lives.

is there anything that we have placed alongside him?

worship is about God and He alone has the right to determine how we should worship.

why did God not want them to use earth and rough stones? why not raise the altar on steps? because he did not want them to worship like the pagans.

he wanted his people to worship creator rather than creation.

true biblical worship is characterised by simplicity and purity.

worship is about what people want, not what God wants

they spend a lot of time thinking about…

to make the people feel good…

basically they are conforming the church into the pattern of the world.

he is telling us: “do not pattern your worship after the pattern of this lost and dying world.”

worship is not about showmanship. it is about God. we want God to accept our worship.

wherever God’s Word is faithfully preached, where worship is conducted… THAT is the church we want to worship. if bethel bpc is such a church, then this is the place we want to come together to worship God and be blessed. and if for any other reasons we can go to another bible believing church!

today there is no need forus to offer a sacrifice because it was already paid.

today if there is any sacrifice for you and i to make, it is to present our lives as a living sacrifice to God

if you have seen and believed, it must lead you to the worship of God, not just worshipping any way you want but according to His instructions
