📣 When is it wrong to speak the truth? 🤔
In the face of sin and injustice, in the valiant battle for truth, Christians risk overstepping certain boundaries. The Apostle James understood that two wrongs do not make a right, that evil cannot be overcome by evil. So, in James 4:11-12, he condemns the sin of slander. Rather than brushing it aside as the negligible afterthought of an overzealous saint, he exposes slander as a reflection of an unloving heart, capable of destroying relationships and reputations. Instead of helping the church and its cause, we end up hurting it. In this sermon, Ps Paul Cheng explains why slander, whether true or false, is an affront to God's law and His authority as the ultimate judge. Join us as we learn how to guard our speech and align our hearts with God’s love, mercy, and truth.
