How to transcribe using YouTube and ChatGPT
- Fill in the properties in the transcript’s page.
- Copy and paste the following prompt into ChatGPT
- Copy and paste the transcript generated by YouTube in the following order. *Copy and paste maybe 10 minutes at a time (depending on the browser/internet capacity).*
- YouTube → ChapGPT
- ChatGPT → Notion
- Generate a response.
- Either click “Continue generating”, or, if that doesn’t work, generate a new response by copying the prompt into ChatGPT again, followed by next chunk (10 minutes) of the unedited transcript from YouTube. Repeat until entire transcript is processed.
- Paste in the full transcript into its specific page on Notion.
ChatGPT prompt:
Remove the timestamps and line breaks in the following transcript. Then add line breaks, correct punctuation and capitalisation where it makes sense to so that it reads like a sermon transcript. But do NOT, in any circumstances, change any of the words from the original transcript.
